The Challenge: After starting to draw handwritten typography as a hobby, posts of my artwork began to gain attention online. Through my accounts, I realized there was a huge demand by fans involved in pop culture to create merchandise just for them.
The Solution: From 2012-2016, I built an online brand selling handwritten typography on t-shirts, phone cases, and other collateral. From its start in 2012, @samonstage_lyrics on Instagram and @samonstage on other social media platforms grew to over 230,000 followers and sold almost $30,000 worth of product.
